People

We want to empower our people at all levels and in all business areas to explore and fulfil their potential. By providing training and development programmes, on-the-job learning, mentoring, coaching and feedback, we give our teams the resources they need to learn and to further their professional development.
Fane Valley is passionate about supporting the training and development of those seeking to build a career in the agri-food industry. We have strong links with Universities and Colleges e.g. CAFRE, Queen’s University and Harper Adams and offer a range of bursaries, work placement and graduate programme opportunities.
Planet
Managing our environmental impact is not only important for the planet and the communities in which we operate; it is essential for the sustainability of our supply chains and ultimately the success of Fane Valley as a business.
Fane Valley believe that going beyond environmental compliance makes good business sense and can help improve our overall success. Reducing energy consumption, minimising waste, using raw materials more effectively and preventing pollution can improve efficiency, creating long term value by taking into consideration how we as a business operate in natural world around us.
We continue to monitor the environmental impact across the Group in several key areas including: Energy, Water, Waste, Supply Chain, Biodiversity, Efficiency and Carbon Footprint.
Place
We believe that companies and communities should thrive together. We therefore recognise the role we have to play in supporting our local communities. That is why we actively maintain a diverse programme of events, charitable efforts, sponsorships, fundraising initiatives, donations, community and rural volunteering.
For over a 100 years Fane Valley has invested in the local areas in which we operate. A proud sponsor of many local and regional livestock and agricultural shows, while also engaging with and investing in a range of primary & post-primary school educational projects.
Fane Valley is committed to helping those in our local community who are less fortunate than ourselves. Each year Fane Valley partners with a recognised charity to generate awareness and to raise funds in support of their work. Action for Children, Action Mental Health and Mulanje Mission Hospital, Malawi represent just a few of our more recent charity partnerships.
