3) THE PROMOTION
To celebrate 120 years since its formation, Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Ltd is running a monthly prize draw with various prizes on offer as a thank you to all customers for their support.
4) THE PROMOTER
The Promoter is Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Ltd of Units 1-2 Glenavy Road Business Park, 20 Glenavy Road, Moira, BT67 0LT.
5) HOW TO ENTER
The promotion will run from 9:00am on 3rd January 2023 (the “Opening Date“) to 23:59:59pm on 31st December 2023 (the “Closing Date“) inclusive (the “Promotion Period”). There will be a total of 12 draws during the Promotion Period. The opening and closing dates and times for each monthly draw are as follows:
- Draw 1: 9am on 3rd January 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st January 2023
- Draw 2: 00:01 on 1st February 2023 to 23:59:59 on 28th February 2023
- Draw 3: 00:01 on 1st March 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st March 2023
- Draw 4: 00:01 on 1st April 2023 to 23:59:59 on 30th April 2023
- Draw 5: 00:01 on 1st May 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st May 2023
- Draw 6: 00:01 on 1st June 2023 to 23:59:59 on 30th June 2023
- Draw 7: 00:01 on 1st July 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st July 2023
- Draw 8: 00:01 on 1st August 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st August 2023
- Draw 9: 00:01 on 1st September 2023 to 23:59:59 on 30th September 2023
- Draw 10: 00:01 on 1st October 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st October 2023
- Draw 11: 00:01 on 1st November 2023 to 23:59:59 on 30th November 2023
- Draw 12: 00:01 on 1st December 2023 to 23:59:59 on 31st December 2023
The draws will take place within 7 business days of the relevant monthly draw’s closing date, each such date being a “Draw Date” and the winner from all valid promotion entries will be chosen by a random draw at our offices and supervised by an independent person.
If you wish to enter a monthly prize draw you must make a purchase of any products (using cash, card or charged to your account if you have one) during that month in any of our stores. All purchases charged to a credit account will be automatically entered into the draw. If you make a cash purchase and wish to enter the monthly prize draw, you will need to scan the QR code printed on your invoice and enter your details using your mobile device. You will need to provide your full legal name, home address (PO box addresses not accepted), phone number and email address in order to enter the prize draw. One entry per invoice.
Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
The Promoter will not accept:
responsibility for promotion entries that are illegible, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the promotion.
By submitting a promotion entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The promotion is open to all residents in the Northern Ireland and Ireland aged 18 years and over who make a purchase in store, except employees and directors of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies.
By entering the promotion, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the promotion. Delay or failure to provide the evidence to our reasonable satisfaction may result in an entry being void or a prize being forfeited.
The Promoter will not accept promotion entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with, photocopies and not originals or incomplete.
The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the promotion, or if we reasonably believe you are not eligible to enter the promotion. Our decision is final and we are not obliged to provide any reasons for disqualification.
7) THE PRIZE
The prizes to be won each month will be advertised in our stores for that month.
Other than as set out above, the winner is responsible for any costs or expenses involved in claiming or using the prize.
The prizes are non-negotiable or transferable. The prizes are subject to availability. There are no cash alternatives for the prizes. The Promoter reserves the right to replace a prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
The decision of the Promoteris final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after each Draw Date using the telephone number or email address provided with the promotion entry.
The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the name and county of the prize winner across its social media platforms and in agricultural press releases shortly after each Draw Date.
If you object to any or all of your surname or county being published, please contact the Promoter at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
It is expected that the winner will make use of the prize and will not sell it on, and as such, the winner may be asked to participate in publicity relating to this promotion if selected as winner.
9) CLAIMING THE PRIZE
If you are the winner of a prize you will have 14 business days from the Draw Date to claim the prize by personally attending the offices of the Promoter. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
A prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 business days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the valid entries that were received in the month that the relevant draw took place.
The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up a prize.
10) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up a prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
11) DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY
The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the privacy notice available here: https://www.fanevalleystores.com/privacy-cookies/.See also condition 6.3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Northern Irish law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
