Fane Valley Supports Excellence in Winter Wheat

Fane Valley is proud to support the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) Winter Wheat Competition, an initiative that showcases the expertise, commitment and high standards of Northern Ireland’s cereal growers.

As a sponsor of this year’s competition, Fane Valley was delighted to see Mark McCollum of the UFU North East Londonderry Group named the overall Winter Wheat winner, with Raymond, David and William Wilson in second place and Jim Fulton placed third.

The competition provides an excellent opportunity to recognise the excellent crops that can be achieved through careful crop management, attention to detail and sound agronomic decision-making.

The UFU Cereal Competition is a great example of the potential within Northern Ireland’s arable sector and the value of sharing knowledge and recognising best practice to help achieve top performance on farm.
