WIN A LAND ROVER DEFENDER
PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
THE PROMOTION
To celebrate 120 years since its formation, Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Ltd has purchased a Land Rover Defender to raffle in support of The Fane Valley Daffodil & Daisy Charity partnership. All proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the charity partners (Cancer Fund For Children, Marie Curie & Irish Cancer Society).
THE PROMOTER
The Promoter is Fane Valley Co-Operative Society Ltd of Units 1-2 Glenavy Road Business Park, 20 Glenavy Road, Moira, BT67 0LT.
HOW TO ENTER
The promotion will run from 9:00am on 3rd April 2023 (the “Opening Date“) to 11:59:59pm on 20th October 2023 (the “Closing Date“) inclusive.
Depending on the way in which you enter the promotion, all promotion entries must be received by the Promoter using the QR code or at the address set out at condition 2 by no later than 11:59:59pm on the Closing Date. All promotion entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
You can enter the promotion in one the of the following two ways:
- Scan the QR code in store or available from field staff and enter your details using your mobile device. You will then be required complete the purchase by either paying cash to a member of staff (if purchasing in a Fane Valley store), or by credit or debit card, or, if you have an account with us and are not in default of any payment terms, charge the price of your ticket to your account. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased using this entry route; or
- Send your full legal name, home address (no post office box addresses accepted), phone number, email address and the name of this promotion that you want to enter, on a postcard to us at the address set out in condition 2 by the Closing Date. No purchase is necessary to enter the promotion using this entry route. There is a limit of one free entry to the promotion per household using this entry route.
Unless using the free entry route, tickets cost £25 each and all funds raised will be donated to our chosen charities.
Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
The Promoter will not accept:
- Responsibility for promotion entries that are illegible, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
- Proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the promotion.
By submitting a promotion entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The winner from all valid promotion entries will be chosen by a random draw at our offices and will be supervised by an independent person on 28th September 2023 (“Draw Date“).
ELIGIBILITY
The promotion is open to all residents in the Northern Ireland and Ireland aged 18 years or over holding a valid driving licence, except employees and directors of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies.
By entering the promotion, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the promotion. Delay or failure to provide the evidence to our reasonable satisfaction may result in an entry being void or a prize being forfeited.
The Promoter will not accept promotion entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with, photocopies and not originals or incomplete.
The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the promotion, or if we reasonably believe you are not eligible to enter the promotion. Our decision is final and we are not obliged to provide any reasons for disqualification.
THE PRIZE
The prize is a Land Rover Defender Hard Top SE Ingenium 3.0 litre 6-cylinder 250PS Twin Turbocharged Diesel MHEV (Automatic) All Wheel Drive. If the winner is based in the Republic of Ireland, we will pay the associated Vehicle Registration Tax.
Other than as set out above, the winner is responsible for any costs or expenses involved in claiming or using the prize. The prize does not include insurance and the winner will be responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid driving licence and insurance in order to collect the prize.
The prize is not negotiable or transferable. The prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
WINNERS
The decision of the Promoteris final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Draw Date using the telephone number or email address provided with the promotion entry.
The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will publish the surname and county of the prize winner across its social media platforms and in agricultural press releases shortly after the Draw Date.
If you object to any or all of your surname or county being published, please contact the Promoter at the following email address: oonagh.chesney@fanevalley.wpenginepowered.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
It is expected that the winner will make use of the prize and will not sell it on, and as such, the winner may be asked to participate in publicity relating to this promotion if selected as winner.
CLAIMING THE PRIZE
If you are the winner of the prize you will have 14 days from the Draw Date to claim the prize by personally attending the offices of the Promoter. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

GENERAL
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the promotion.
The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Northern Irish law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
