Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing & managing best practice supply chain solutions within the business, covering all inbound and outbound logistics, third party haulage and warehouse contractors as well as managing the goods in and despatch team.

The Role:

  • Management & co-ordination of inbound and outbound Logistics;
  • Management of Warehouse & Logistics team;
  • Management of out sourced third party storage & logistics contracts;
  • Maintain BRC standards in relation to cleanliness of transport and storage of products;
  • Ensure that all associated costs are effectively managed and variances can be explained to Budget / Projections;
  • Co-ordinating deliveries from suppliers based on information available on current stock levels, PO’s raised from production and anticipated lead time for deliveries and production plans.

The Person:

  • A minimum five years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment;
  • Ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies with a focus on production planning to meet business objective;
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Previous experience of dealing with BRC audits.
