Sales Manager

We now wish to appoint a Sales Manager to oversee the management of our Agronomy and Forage sales team.
The Role:
- Based in Moira and reporting to the Agronomy and Forage Services Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Agronomy and Forage Sales team;
- Leading, supporting and motivating the Agronomy and Forage sales team to increase sales and market share of cereal seed, grass seed, ag-chemical, granulated lime, fertiliser, forage additives, feed supplements and technical services to new and existing customers.
The Person:
- Candidates will be educated to degree level in agriculture, agricultural science, crop production or a related discipline and have 5 years sales management experience in a fastmoving commercial environment;
- A comprehensive understanding of the agricultural industry in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland;
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Have an excellent business acumen with commercial focus and be able to deliver on targets;
- Have a proven record of providing high levels of customer service and support;
- Ideally have previous experience of leading, managing and motivating a sales team;
- Ideally be a qualified BASIS and FACTS Adviser.

Operating across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, England and Belgium the Co-op has interests in red meat processing (beef, lamb and edible offals), the production of beef dripping, fully integrated duck production & processing, porridge oats & breakfast cereal, animal feed manufacturing, agricultural supplies and the provision of agronomy and forage services.
