Retail Shop Supervisor

Reporting to the Branch Manager the successful applicant, will assume operational responsibility for the effective running of the agricultural shop, with particular emphasis on exceptional customer service, impactful merchandising displays and delivering growth for the business.

We now invite applications for a Retail Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily management of our new agricultural retail shop at Mullingar.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy Agri-Retail store;
  • Develop retail sales growth for animal health products; animal feeds and
    agricultural requisites;
  • Manage and develop customer relationships;
  • Supervise and motivate a small team of dedicated sales personnel;
  • Deliver excellent store standards through visual merchandising.

The Person:

  • Ideally have supervisory/management experience in a retail-sales
    environment;
  • Have a knowledge and awareness of the Irish agricultural industry and
    products/inputs required by farmers;
  • Experience of managing customer relationships and customer care;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and supervise a small team;
  • Possess strong IT skills, with a knowledge of using POS ERP systems;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Ideally have a third level qualification in an Agriculture or business-related
    discipline;
  • Ideally have a qualification for animal health sales.
