Fane Valley Stores is a leading supplier of animal health and agricultural products to farmers and the rural community. With an expanding network of agri-retail stores and a strong on-line platform, our aim is to exceed the expectations of our customers. 

Reporting to the Retail Store Manager the successful applicant, will assume operational responsibility for the effective running of the agricultural shop, with particular emphasis on exceptional customer service, impactful merchandising displays and delivering growth for the business. 

The Role:

• Responsible for the day-to-day management of a busy Agri-Retail store;

• Develop retail sales growth for animal health products, livestock identification, animal feeds and agricultural requisites;

• Manage and develop customer relationships;

• Lead, manage and motivate a small team of dedicated sales personnel;

• Deliver excellent store standards through visual merchandising.

The Person:

• Have supervisory/management experience in a retail-sales environment;

• Experience of managing customer relationships;

• Possess strong IT skills;

• Knowledge and awareness of the agricultural and building supplies industry and products;

• Ability to lead and motivate a team;

• Have a willingness to take a fully hands on approach to all aspects of the business;

• Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team;

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;

• Ideally have a third level qualification in an Agriculture or business-related discipline;

• Ideally have a RAMA (SQP) qualification for animal health sales;

• Knowledge of computerised stock control systems would be an advantage.
