Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a part time (approximately 15 – 20 hours per week) Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team at our Head Office in Moira.

The Role:

This role will be focused on reconciling supplier statements to the Fane Valley Stores accounts system. This will require accessing multiple systems on a regular basis, following up queries both internally and externally, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

The Person:

  • Previous experience of working in similar role or a finance team;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages with competency in the use of Excel;
  • Experience of using other finance related software systems;
  • Have the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;
  • A natural communicator, able to build up relationships, promote collaborative working, choosing the method of communication based on the desired outcomes and individuals involved;
  • Be self-sufficient; able to work independently, while recognising that success will only be achieved through a combined approach;
  • A problem solver, naturally curious to understand discrepancies, with a focus on resolutions.
