Production Supervisor

We now wish to appoint a Production Supervisor to join the team based at our Drogheda site.
Supporting the Branch Manager the Production Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of the Drogheda site including cereal seed production, grass seed production, liquid fertiliser blending, harvest intake and grain drying operations and the management of onsite grain storage.
The Role:
- Responsibility for all day-to-day operations and production scheduling of Cereal & Grass seed assembly and manufacturing plant.
- Coordinating and manage cereal seed harvest intake, drying, cleaning and dressing operations.
- Ensure all quality standards for the manufacture of grass seed, cereal seeds and grain storage are implemented.
- Lead, manage and motivate a small team of production/store/yard personnel.
- Manage staffing levels and working rotas to ensure the branch has appropriate levels of staff on-site to meet the needs of the business relative to expected business activities.
- Co-ordinate staff training and development in conjunction with the Branch Manager to ensure that all staff have the skills, attitudes and behaviours to meet the needs of the business;
- Oversee the scheduling of plant maintenance, cleaning processes and the service and calibration of testing equipment.
The Person:
- Have a good standard of education including numeracy and literacy skills:
- Ideally have previous relevant production management experience;
- Have strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team;
- Have strong IT skills;
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Show attention to detail and be a natural problem solver who can offer innovative solutions to meet customer needs and the needs of the agronomy team to secure and grow sales;
- Hold a full driving licence.
