Production Supervisor

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our team based at our Ballindrait Mill.

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of production and warehouse staff.

The main duties will include:

  • Supervision of staff to ensure all manufacturing, hygiene, quality and health and safety targets are met.
  • Overseeing mill and warehouse operations, liaising with Maintenance, Transport and Quality Departments to ensure the safe and efficient running of daily operations.

This is an exciting new opportunity so candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisation skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. The individual will have a hands-on approach, will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills and will continually strive for high standards.

The Person:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing environment;
  • A proven ability to show initiative, lead by example and demonstrate man-management capability;
  • A Diploma level qualification (Level 6) in a related discipline;
  • Excellent I.T. skills;
  • Ideally have a degree level qualification (Level 8) in Agriculture, Science, Food, Manufacturing, Engineering or another related discipline but is not essential;
  • Knowledge of animal feeds or the local agricultural industry would be an advantage but is not essential.

Normal working pattern is Monday to Friday with flexibility to work Saturdays if required.
