Production Operator (Dayshift)

The successful candidate will carry out a variety of production and cleaning jobs within the manufacturing facility including machine operation, product packing, machine cleaning and cleaning duties across the wider facility.

The Role:

  • Operating automated machinery, using SOP’s (training provided);
  • Monitoring production process and recording results in a quality monitoring system (Foods Connected) to ensure compliance;
  • Closely monitor production quality and adjusting equipment settings to ensure compliance;
  • Carry out a line change over when instructed to do so by the production team leader;
  • Ensure quick preparation for production and secure all required materials to aid the line’s quick start;
  • Maintain lineside stocks through accurate use of shopfloor control system;
  • Flexible and adaptable to help teams across different parts of the process;
  • Ensuring good audit ready standards at all times;
  • Contribution to production performance and quality targets to deliver high-quality products;
  • Forklift licence (training given).

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous production experience in a high-volume food processing environment;
  • Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision;
  • Have a high standard of spoken and written English.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate;
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation;
  • Lean manufacturing experience;
  • Reach truck/counterbalance forklift licence.

Normal working pattern is weekdays 8am-4.30pm
