Job Details:
Production Operative (Relief)
Ref No: DFP/POR/11/21
To provide cover for holiday and sickness absence throughout all areas of production and packing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Alfa Department: To produce a top quality edible beef dripping, in keeping with customer requirements and specifications, while at all times maintaining the quality and safety of the product.
- Intake Department: To ensure the intake of the product meets customer specification so it can be used to make a high-quality edible beef dripping.
- Bleaching Department: Make sure that the secondary process of oil is finished to the highest standard of quality and safety.
- Packing Department: To package a finished product in keeping with customer requirements and specifications, maintaining the quality and safety of the product necessary to achieve this objective.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing environment;
- Experience of record keeping with attention to detail;
- Previous experience of cleaning and hygiene requirements in a food production environment;
- Hold a valid electric pallet truck Forklift License;
- An awareness of health and safety legislation;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines;
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills;
- Have a customer-focused attitude.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Previous work experience in the meat industry;
- Hold a counterbalance and reach forklift truck licence;
- Previous experience of working on a packing line;
- Knowledge of HACCP and CCP’s.
Hours of Work: (will vary depending on department) This is a full time permanent position.
Alfa: 9am – 5.30pm & 5pm – 1.30am / Intake: 9am – 5.30pm, 1.30pm -10pm, 5pm – 1.30am, 2pm – 10.30pm & 4pm -12.30am / Bleaching: 7am – 3.30pm, 3pm – 11.30pm & 11pm – 7.30am / Packing: 6am – 2.30pm & 2pm – 1.30am / Drying: 7.30am – 4pm & 3.30pm -12am / Despatch: 8.30am – 5pm
