Production Manager

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the bulk / retail lines in line with customer requirements.

The Role:

  • Lead day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards while embodying a positive culture of continuous improvement;
  • Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise production schedules and resource allocation;
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a skilled production team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced productivity within the production workflow, using Lean tools and techniques as a foundational framework;
  • Generate production reports, analyse key performance indicators, and present insights to senior management, incorporating data-driven decision-making.

The Person:

  • A minimum five years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Experience within a food manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control standards, production best practices;
  • Previous experience of dealing with BRC audits. 

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience of managing Production across multiple sites;
  • Qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
