Job Details:
Milling Plant Operator
Ref No: WS/MPO/02/26
Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the smooth running of the mill in line with customer requirements.
The Role:
- Operate the oat milling plant efficiently and safely during your shift;
- Keep the plant clean and organised by following the mill cleaning schedule;
- Maintain accurate records for quality control, safety checks, and shift reports;
- Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of machinery to avoid downtime;
- Ensure continuous product flow and minimal disruption to production;
- Conduct quality checks and record operational data accurately.
The Person:
- Computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Office;
- Strong mechanical aptitude or engineering background;
- Previous experience as a process controller, plant operator, machine minder, or technician;
- Excellent record-keeping and administration skills;
- Effective communication and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Familiarity with SCADA systems or other automated control platforms;
- Strong mechanical aptitude or engineering background;
- A Forklift licence;
- Food related qualification e.g. HACCP and Food Hygiene;
The shift pattern will be a three on three off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights with an average of 42 hours per week.
