Poultry Field Officer (Maternity Cover)

We now invite applications for the following position to cover maternity leave at our Omagh Mill.
Fane Valley Feeds is one of the largest animal feed manufacturers in Northern Ireland with facilities in Omagh and Newry. With one of the most modern animal feed mills in Europe, Fane Valley Feeds is committed to manufacturing the highest quality animal feeds for our customers.
The Role:
Based in Omagh and reporting to the Poultry Business Manager, the Poultry Field Officer will be responsible for the daily management of pullet rearing sites throughout Northern Ireland, audit preparation and environmental swabbing. They will provide nutritional advice and advice on Fane Valley Feeds product portfolio to new and existing customers.
The Person:
• Ideally have a HND qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent);
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
• Be IT literate;
• Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team;
• Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload;
• Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK;
• Preferably have previous experience of liaison with farmers;
• Ideally possess a sound knowledge of modern poultry production.
