Poultry Field Officer

We now have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Poultry Field Officer to join our team for a duration of approximately one year.
The Role:
Reporting to the Poultry Business Manager, the Poultry Field Officer will be responsible for the daily management of pullet rearing sites throughout Northern Ireland, audit preparation and environmental swabbing. The successful candidate will provide nutritional advice and advice on Fane Valley Feeds product portfolio to new and existing poultry feed customers.
The Person:
- Have experience and knowledge of the N.I. Agricultural industry;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly excel experience for completing weekly reports;
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills;
- Have a full current driving licence valid in the UK;
- Have the ability to work on their own initiative and within a busy team;
- Show attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workload;
- Preferably have previous experience of liaison with farmers;
- Ideally have a HND qualification in agricultural or animal science (or equivalent) and a sound knowledge of modern poultry production;
- Have experience within sales but not essential.
