We are currently recruiting for the following position based at our Newry mill.
Fane Valley Feeds is one of the largest animal feed manufacturers in Northern Ireland with facilities in Omagh and Newry. With one of the most modern animal feed mills in Europe, Fane Valley Feeds is committed to manufacturing the highest quality animal feeds for our customers.
The Role:
The Plant Operator will be responsible for operating a computerised manufacturing process, supervising intake, maintaining mill hygiene standards and operating a forklift.
Essential Criteria:
All applicants are expected to have a good standard of education, with GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English. Candidates must have good I.T. skills and be comfortable using a computer.
Desirable Criteria:
Ideally applicants will have previous experience of working in a production environment, have an agricultural background and have a forklift licence, although this is not essential as training will be provided.
Hours of work:
The hours of work will be based on a two-shift rotating pattern with a day shift from 6.00am to 2.00pm and an evening shift from 2.00pm to 10.00pm. Flexibility is also required to work Saturday morning overtime when necessary.
