Payroll Officer
Ref No: FV/PO/08/24
Reporting to the Payroll Manager the successful candidate will assist with preparing and maintaining both NI and ROI monthly and weekly payrolls for the Fane Valley Group of Companies.
The Role:
- Processing payrolls, to include new start/ leaver procedures, SSP, SMP and pension auto enrolment;
- Produce BACS reports and ensure authorised within agreed timescales;
- Produce payroll reports and payslips for employees;
- Manage any payroll and time and attendance queries in a professional, friendly manner, ensuring a timely resolution;
- Submit payroll files, pension deductions and statutory returns on a timely basis;
- Keep up to date with HMRC/Revenue to ensure compliance to all legislative requirements;
- Work in partnership with the HR teams to ensure data records are consistently and accurately maintained;
- Provide other administrative tasks as required.
The Person:
- At least three years’ experience in a payroll environment preparing both monthly and weekly payroll;
- Must have working knowledge of NI and ROI payroll legislation;
- Possess excellent IT skills with experience of payroll management systems;
- Be detail orientated and have the ability to provide high levels of accuracy in all work;
- Strong time management skills to meet payroll deadlines;
- Ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A self-starter who can deliver excellent results.
