Multi Skilled Production Operator

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery within a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.

The Role:

  • Operate automated production machinery in accordance with established procedures;
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operations;
  • Monitor the production process and accurately record data within the Foods Connected quality management system to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards;
  • Conduct regular quality checks and closely monitor product output to maintain consistency;
  • Adjust equipment settings as required to ensure products meet specified standards and regulatory requirements. 

The Person:

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing;
  • Ability to operate multiple types of machinery;
  • Basic mechanical or technical skills (troubleshooting, minor repairs);
  • Understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP);
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Multi-skilled with experience across various production functions;
  • A valid forklift licence with practical experience in material handling within a fast-paced production environment. 

This role operates on a two-week rotating shift pattern.

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
