Managing Director
Ref No: FVF/MD/04/22
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive the Managing Director will assume overall accountability for the strategic development, commercial performance and the success of the Fane Valley Feeds business.
The Role:
- Lead the delivery of the company’s growth plans in the animal feed sector;
- Develop the sales of feed and the wider Fane Valley product portfolio to new and existing customers;
- Ensure that Fane Valley Feeds adopts an effective, risk-based approach to procurement of feed raw materials;
- Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Fane Valley Feeds manufacturing sites;
- To pursue a program of continuous improvement across all aspects of site operations;
- To lead, manage and motivate staff in the performance of their duties;
- Ensure that adequate financial management systems and controls are in place.
The Person:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years senior management experience, within the agri-business sector;
- Knowledge of the animal feed manufacturing sector at a local and national level;
- Evidence of achievement in an operational management role in a manufacturing environment;
- The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team;
- Experience of strategic planning; introducing new processes and managing change;
- Able to demonstrate business acumen and commercial focus;
- Experience of managing relationships with key customers and suppliers;
- Strong IT and communication skills;
- Enthusiastic, hard working with ability to take own initiative;
- Specific knowledge and awareness of raw material markets and animal nutrition would be a distinct advantage.
