Maintenance Team Lead

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading best practice engineering solutions within White’s, as well as providing leadership and direction to a team of engineers.

Applicants must have the following essential criteria:

  • Have an electrical Engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship.
  • At least four years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience within a food production environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and getting the best out of direct reports.
  • Ability to lead staff and provide direction to shift engineers.
  • Experience of implementing and developing preventative maintenance management systems and development of TPM.
  • An excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Work experience of interpreting engineering drawings.
  • An understanding of a range of food production line packing equipment.
  • Experience of budget management and forecasting for department overheads.
  • Be highly computer literate.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Experience in energy monitoring and improvement initiatives
  • Experience in developing and enhancing health and safety standards and awareness and implementation of best practices.
  • A detailed understanding of LEAN principles and application, in particular root cause analysis (5Y’s)

The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their working hours to accommodate the operational needs of the business which may include shift work.
