Job Details:
Maintenance Team Lead
Ref No: DFP/MTL/01/23
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading best practice engineering solutions within DFP, as well as providing leadership and direction to a team of engineers.
Candidate Requirements:
- Have an Engineering qualification or time served apprenticeship.
- At least four years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in leading teams and getting the best out of direct reports, be a team player
- Ability to lead staff and provide direction to shift engineers.
- Experience of implementing and developing preventative maintenance management systems and development of TPM.
- An excellent knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Work experience of interpreting engineering drawings.
- An understanding of a range of production lines and packing equipment.
- Be computer literate.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Must be self-motivated and highly organised
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Experience in improvement initiatives
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in developing and enhancing health and safety standards and awareness and implementation of best practices.
- Experience of both mechanical and electrical engineering
- mechanical/ electrical experience (80/20)
- Experience in working with steam / boilers
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving qualities.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and navigate through change and growth – all the while remaining focused and paying attention to detail to get urgent agendas resolved.
The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their working hours to accommodate the operational needs of the business which may include shift work.
