Fabrication / Maintenance Technician

Location: Duncrue Food Processing Plant
Closing Date: 7th June 2023

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the Fabrication / Maintenance Technician will take responsibility for preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of production across the site.

Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure all machines within the factory are checked and maintained according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Carry out fabrication work as instructed by Maintenance Team Leader or Management
• Profession in all aspect of Welding Types
• Completion of all aspects of paperwork which includes daily tasks and service records.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Time served in fabrication / pipe fitting.
  • Good mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Working in an environment with hot and cold-water systems, high pressure Steam systems and compressor Air systems.
  • Working knowledge and understating of Permit to Work and LOTO systems.
  • A current UK driving licence.
  • Be self-motivated and highly organised.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Be willing to learn new tasks and prioritise workload.
  • Be willing to be on a on call rotation rota.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • have the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Hold a valid forklift licence.
  • Hold a valid MEWP license.
  • Prior experience of working in the food industry.
  • Good understanding of electrical systems

The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their working hours to accommodate the operational needs of the business which may include shift work.
