HGV Driver

The successful candidate’s job role will be to collect raw material from various meat plants throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as well as carry out regular safety checks on your Company vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect raw material from abattoir;
- Inspect raw material and make sure it is of the standard required;
- Take responsibility for the safety of your vehicle and complete daily safety checks as required;
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle (inside and out);
- Assist with loading and unloading of lorries.
The Person:
- Have a valid HGV Class CE licence;
- Hold a Digital Tachograph;
- Regular and current experience of driving artic lorries (1 year minimum);
- Excellent communication;
- Good spoken and written English;
- Flexible approach to work;
- Customer focused attitude;
- A willingness to learn;
- Have a valid CPC card.
Preference will be given to those with:
- Forklift licence – Counterbalance;
- Excellent geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
A normal working week is Monday to Friday, operating on a 4-week rotating shift pattern, occasional weekend work may be required depending on the operational needs of the business.
