Head of Sales

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for Managing sales to retail and food service accounts throughout Ireland, driving sales growth, ensuring enhanced profitability.

The Role:

  • Assist in planning, developing and implementing an effective sales strategy as part of the company’s three-year business plan for White’s on an annual basis;
  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing business relationships whilst gaining profitable new business in existing and new categories;
  • Manage sales of White’s brands (including private label) to achieve sales growth targets identified within the business plan with all customers in the territories;
  • Plan and manage Key Account customers within the allocated budget to ensure the company delivers its sales objectives;
  • Identify, develop and lead category management initiatives ensuring the company delivers insightful, innovative proposals and presentations;
  • Lead business development projects within specific growth markets. 

The Person:

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline;
  • A minimum of 5+ years relevant experience;
  • Strong commercial awareness;
  • Demonstrable experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG industry;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines;
  • Flexibility with working times to ensure consistency of service level agreements.
