Location: Duncrue Food Processing Plant

To provide cover for holiday and sickness absence throughout all areas of production and packing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Alfa: To produce a top quality edible beef dripping, in keeping with customer requirements and specifications, while at all times maintaining the quality and safety of the product.

Intake: To ensure the intake of the product meets customer specification so it can be used to make a high quality edible beef dripping.

Bleaching: Make sure that the secondary process of oil is finished to the highest standard of quality and safety.

Drying: Produce and pack dried edible beef protein fit for human consumption under strict safety and quality procedures.

Packing: To package a finished product in keeping with customer requirements and specifications, maintaining the quality and safety of the product necessary to achieve this objective.

Waste Water Treatment Plant: Run the WWTP and ensure all effluent discharged is within consent levels.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous work experience in a food manufacturing environment;

• Experience of record keeping with attention to detail;

• Previous experience of cleaning and hygiene requirements in a food production environment;

• An awareness of health and safety legislation;

• Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines;

• Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills;

• Have a customer-focused attitude.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Previous work experience in the meat industry;

• Hold a counterbalance, reach forklift truck and electric pallet truck licence;

• Previous experience of working on a packing line;

• Knowledge of HACCP and CCP’s.

Hours of Work: (will vary depending on department)

Alfa: 9am – 5.30pm & 5pm – 1.30am / Intake: 9am – 5.30pm, 1.30pm -10pm, 5pm – 1.30am, 2pm – 10.30pm & 4pm -12.30am / Bleaching: 7am – 3.30pm, 3pm – 11.30pm & 11pm – 7.30am / Packing: 6am – 2.30pm & 2pm – 1.30am / Drying: 7.30am – 4pm & 4pm – 12.30am / WWTP: 8am – 4.30pm
