Reporting to the Company Accountant the Financial Administrator will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to the finance and senior management teams.

The Role:

• Process and reconcile purchase invoices, credit notes and purchase orders using accounting software;
• Manage purchase contracts, maintain raw material stock records and reconcile supplier-held stock;
• Oversee purchase order processing, invoice approvals and resolve supplier and invoice queries;
• Calculate monthly storage, carriage costs and manage supplier payments;
• Maintain the fixed asset register, calculate monthly depreciation and prepare VAT, VIES, Intrastat, EU VAT refund and ROS returns.

The Person:

• Have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Excel;
• Able to work effectively both on your own initiative and also within a busy team;
• Possess excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills;
• Have excellent attention to detail and a high numerical understanding;
• Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience of working in a similar finance role and experience using accounting software;
• A business-related qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful candidate should be reliable, efficient, motivated and be able to work as part of a team.  Candidates should have a good standard of education, the ability to complete accurate documentation and good communication skills.
