Finance Manager

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the overall financial control of White’s. We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, financial risk management as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
The Job:
- Preparation of routine financial reports;
- Developing financial plans & strategies in conjunction with senior team which support business strategy;
- Ensure financial regulatory compliance;
- Overseeing accounting operations & generating & analysing financial data;
- Co-ordinating auditing processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information;
- Complete Financial reports for review at management & board meetings to include overhead analysis, profitability and customer & category margin reports;
- Prepare annual statutory accounts & annual budgets, in conjunction with input from line managers;
- Review and maintain product costings which fully reflect production, distribution, sales and marketing costs;
- Develop & maintain up to date profitability profiles for all finished products;
- Help prepare monthly management accounts within Group reporting needs & deadlines;
- Monitor actual results against budget and investigate/explain variances;
- Prepare a monthly margin report by product, customer and region;
- Ensure sales and production forecasts are updated on a regular basis and are reflected in the management accounts forecast;
- Development & maintenance of Management Information Systems including Microsoft Navision;
- Provide financial input to & analysis of the strategic plan.
The Person:
- Proven working experience as a Finance Manager;
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA etc);
- Good working knowledge of the latest accounting standards;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing company along with experience in commercial finance;
- Experience of Microsoft Navision Management Information System.
