Finance Administrator

Location: Clonee

We now wish to appoint a Finance Administrator to join the team based at our Clonee site.

The Role:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial and management reports on a monthly basis;
  • Prepare accruals and prepayments for management accounts;
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, as required by the financial controller;
  • Assist in the production of monthly sales / reporting packs for distribution to commercial manager / sales managers;
  • Manage the recording of grain / feed ingredient contracts by liaising with relevant branch personnel & Trading manager.  Responsible for the processing and reconciliation of sales / purchase invoices for contract grain/feed ingredients. 
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns / statistical returns;
  • Assist in the assembling of credit control reports / follow up with customers on outstanding balances;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new financial procedures with the financial controller, as required;
  • General accounting administration and other Ad hoc duties to be performed as and when required.

The Person:

  • Must have previous relevant experience of working within a financial administration department;
  • Be a qualified Accounting Technician or hold a similar qualification;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced excel spreadsheet experience (pivot tables / power pivot / formulas) a requirement;
  • Excellent attention to detail, with an ability to use own initiative and vocalise improvements to processes, if same are identified;
  • Excellent analytical skills – Have an investigative, analytical and mathematical mind-set;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • A self-starter who can critically analyse information and ensure work is completed to set deadlines;
  • A team player with an ability to work with colleagues from different Departments / Branches;
  • Experience of using an ERP system would be an advantage.
