Credit Controller

Based at the Clonee branch we now wish to appoint a part-time Credit Controller to join the finance team at Drummonds, where your key role will be managing the credit function. You'll ensure accurate and timely payments, maintain customer accounts within credit terms, and help retain strong customer relationships.
The Role:
- Manage customer accounts, ensuring they remain within agreed trading terms and credit limits;
- Regularly review and monitor customer accounts to mitigate credit risk;
- Open and manage new customer trading accounts, completing credit checks as per company policy;
- Process and allocate customer payments accurately, preparing daily bank lodgements;
- Proactively contact customers to collect outstanding payments and resolve disputes;
- Negotiate payment agreements for overdue accounts, ensuring timely resolution;
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications and actions in the company’s management system;
- Attend monthly credit meetings and provide progress updates to the financial controller;
- Ensure compliance with the company’s credit control policy and meet monthly processing deadlines.
The Person:
- Ideally have previous experience of working in a Credit Control environment dealing with a high volume of customers;
- Have the ability to work in a fast-moving environment;
- Have strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications;
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a busy team;
- A knowledge of the Irish agricultural industry would be an advantage.

Annually at harvest the business processes more than 100,000 tonnes of native grain across eight locations, with manufacturing facilities for seeds and animal feeds in Drogheda and Navan.
