As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of White’s brand strategy. You will plan, coordinate and implement marketing campaigns and activities to drive brand awareness and support the overall business by profitably growing the sales of White’s branded products. You will be creative, agile and innovative in your approach and be responsible for ensuring we deliver impactful campaigns and communications that support business goals.

Established in 1841, White’s, a subsidiary of Fane Valley Co-operative is Ireland’s leading producer of porridge oats and oat-based breakfast cereals and a key player within the Northern Ireland Agri Food Industry.  Having experienced strong growth in recent years due to continued demand for healthy, sustainable and innovative plant- based foods, the company now markets and sells its range of porridge oats, granolas and mueslis into all leading multiple and independent retailers across the UK, Ireland and international markets. 

Its product offering has grown exponentially over the years into a market leading and award winning brand and now holds numerous awards from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Great Taste, Irish and UK Quality Food Awards and Ulster Grocer Marketing Awards.  As a result of this growth, we wish to recruit for the role of Brand Manager: 

As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of White’s brand strategy. You will plan, coordinate and implement marketing campaigns and activities to drive brand awareness and support the overall business by profitably growing the sales of White’s branded products. You will be creative, agile and innovative in your approach and be responsible for ensuring we deliver impactful campaigns and communications that support business goals.

The Job:

  • Prepare and develop the brand strategy annually and monitor expenditure and market results on an ongoing basis;
  • Develop, execute & support internal and external communication plans to strengthen our brand purpose;
  • Support creative development for all communications and media strategies;
  • Build and maintain relationships with external public relations companies including; creative and web agencies, and media owners;
  • Increase brand awareness, brand value and profitability;
  • Assist the commercial team in identifying opportunities for product and territory development; 
  • Management of new product development process ensuring timely launch of new products and to budget;
  • Provision of customer, consumer and competitor insights in conjunction with the identification and analysis of appropriate trends.

The Person:

  • 3rd Level qualification in business, marketing or relatable field;
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Previous experience in developing brand and marketing strategies;
  • Experience of using a wide variety of digital platforms in a creative and innovative manner;
  • Excellent written communications and presentation skills;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Previous experience of working with third party agencies including public relations and design;
  • Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office. 

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Previous experience working within a FMCG commercial role;
  • Working knowledge of Navision or similar Enterprise Resource Solution.
