Branch Manager

The Branch Manager will assume responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the Drummonds Drogheda branch supporting the production, operations and sales function of the Agronomy, Fertiliser, Cereal & Grass Seed production and Research & Development functions of the business, with particular emphasis on the delivery of strategic sales growth and operational efficiency.
The Role:
- Lead, manage and motivate a team of production, sales, administration and operations personnel;
- Manage the harvest intake of feed and seed grains including grain drying, cleaning and dressing operations;
- Manage the production scheduling of cereal and grass seed assembly, processing as well as inward and outbound logistics;
- Manage the delivery of technical support services and product sales on all aspects of Crop Production for our customers within the territory; including Seed Selection, Crop Nutrition, Crop Protection, Soil Nutrition and Forage Conservation and Utilisation;
- Support the research and development operations of the Drummonds trial farm.
The Person:
- Be educated to degree level in agriculture, agricultural science, crop production or a related discipline (or equivalent) and have previous experience of working within the agricultural industry;
- Have strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team;
- Have strong IT skills with experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Show attention to detail and be a natural problem solver who can offer innovative solutions to meet customer needs and the needs of the agronomy team to secure and grow sales;
- Ideally have previous sales and technical experience within the agricultural industry;
- Ideally have operational and production experience;
- Ideally be qualified as an IASIS Adviser or be willing to undertake training.

Annually at harvest the business processes more than 100,000 tonnes of native grain across eight locations, with manufacturing facilities for seeds and animal feeds in Drogheda and Navan.
