Job Details:
Assistant Accountant
Ref No: WS/AA/09/24
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for accounting tasks and routine finance function whilst supporting the Senior Management Team.
The Role:
- Take responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to year end standard and within reporting deadlines;
- Carry out variance analysis v budget and investigate/explain variances;
- Preparation of KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis;
- Assist with the preparation of monthly projections and annual budgets;
- Responsibility for compliance (VAT & statutory returns);
- Assist development & implementation of Management Information Systems and financial IT systems.
The Person:
- Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or Part qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or QBE accountant;
- Proficient in Word and MS Outlook with Intermediate to advanced Excel ability;
- Excellent administration skills, organised and able to prioritise workload;
- Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Be able to interact and communicate with staff at all levels including senior management in a professional manner.
Preference will be given to candidates with
- Experience of using an ERP system;
- Experience in analysing production variances.
