Accounts Payable Clerk (Part Time)

Location: Whites Speedicook Ltd
Closing Date: 18th June 2021

To complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

The Job

  • Open new supplier accounts;
  • Record all purchase invoices and match GRNs onto the purchase ledger;
  • Investigate and resolve all invoices on hold queries with Managers;
  • Make regular contact with suppliers to ensure statements are accurate and reconciled to financial systems;
  • Prepare supplier BACS payments;
  • Monthly review of aged accounts payable ledger;
  • Ensure all key duties have written procedures in place which reflect current practice;
  • Liaise with our external auditors on an interim and year end basis;
  • Provide switchboard cover on a rota basis when the administration assistant is off.

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger;
  • Previous experience in MS Office applications including Word and Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral;
  • Good time management and show high attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to meet and work to strict deadlines.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Working knowledge of an ERP system;
  • Experience as an Accounts Technician.

Hours of work are:

Monday – Wednesday 9am -5pm (Flexibility with working days)
