Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available to take over a substantial and well-established sales ledger in the Co. Down and Co. Armagh area.

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available to take over a substantial and well-established sales ledger in the Co. Down and Co. Armagh area.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Ruminant Feed Sales Specialist will be responsible for maximising existing business and developing new business in the sales area.

The Role:

  • To deliver ambitious growth strategies across the sales area to increase feed sales to new and existing customers;
  • Provide customers with technical advice and support on ruminant nutrition, diet formulation and feeding practice to maximise milk production and live weight gain;
  • Increase feed sales and market share within the sales territory and maximise new business development opportunities;
  • Liaise with sales and technical team to assist in the development of a product range to best suit the feeding requirements of customers within the territory;
  • Understanding farmer’s needs and introducing suitable products and services.

The Person:

  • Possess sound knowledge of and an interest in the Northern Ireland agri food industry;
  • Previous relevant sales experience;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Be IT literate;
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and within a busy team;
  • Show attention to detail and able to prioritise a busy workload;
  • Have a Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent;
  • Ideally hold a 3rd level qualification in agriculture or a related discipline;
  • Ideally have a sound knowledge and experience of ruminant production and nutrition.
