Production Operative (Moy Site)
Ref No: WS/POM/09/24
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the successful candidate will be required to carry out a variety of production and cleaning jobs within the manufacturing facility including machine operation, product packing, machine cleaning and cleaning duties across the wider facility.
The Role:
- Running of the packing machines and carry out line changeovers safely and efficiently;
- Carry out all allocated duties in the designated work area in accordance with operating procedures and management instructions to produce the product according to customer specifications and key performance indicators;
- Take ownership for the Quality of product and ensuring that required food safety checks are complete;
- Ensure that production targets, hygiene and housekeeping standards are met and maintained;
- Co-operate in the smooth running of the area, avoiding waste, and ensuring a level of good housekeeping;
- Observe all safety rules and procedures, ensuring that the work area, equipment and materials are left in a safe state; and that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of all fellow employees and any other persons within the work area.
The Person:
- Previous production experience in a high-volume food processing environment;
- Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision;
- Have a high standard of spoken and written English.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate;
- Working knowledge of health and safety legislation;
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
Normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.
