Job Details:
Maintenance Engineer
Ref No: WS/ME/08/24
Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance, on both Electrical and Mechanical equipment/systems.
The Role:
- Implementation of relevant sections of BRC & Customer food quality standards to ensure all procedures are documented in line with standards and are audited regularly to ensure compliance;
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to a safe standard and complies with current legislation;
- Development and implementation of structured site preventative maintenance system;
- Maintain and update digital maintenance records on a computerised Maintenance Management Systems;
- Respond to planned & unplanned activities in a prompt manner;
- Support the development of the systems and procedures within the department to create a ‘Lean’ working environment.
The Person:
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;
- Have the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision and work as part of a team;
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
•Previous experience working in the food industry.
Hours of work are on a two week rotating pattern:
Week 1: Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.30pm
Week 2: Monday to Friday 2.00pm-10.30pm.
