Job Details:
Accounts Payable Clerk (Part Time)
Ref No: WS/APC/06/21
To complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
The Job
- Open new supplier accounts;
- Record all purchase invoices and match GRNs onto the purchase ledger;
- Investigate and resolve all invoices on hold queries with Managers;
- Make regular contact with suppliers to ensure statements are accurate and reconciled to financial systems;
- Prepare supplier BACS payments;
- Monthly review of aged accounts payable ledger;
- Ensure all key duties have written procedures in place which reflect current practice;
- Liaise with our external auditors on an interim and year end basis;
- Provide switchboard cover on a rota basis when the administration assistant is off.
The Person
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger;
- Previous experience in MS Office applications including Word and Excel;
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral;
- Good time management and show high attention to detail;
- Proven ability to meet and work to strict deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Working knowledge of an ERP system;
- Experience as an Accounts Technician.
Hours of work are:
Monday – Wednesday 9am -5pm (Flexibility with working days)
