Driver – HGV Class 1 (Temporary Ongoing)

Duncrue Food Processors Ltd (DFP) has been in operation for over thirty years. DFP has grown to be one of the UK’s leading beef dripping producers. Our primary operation is the manufacture of high quality beef dripping which is sold to the fast food, catering and food manufacturing industries.   

We now wish to recruit for the following position - Driver – HGV Class 1 (Temporary Ongoing)

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s job role will be to carry out safety checks on vehicle, drive responsibly and collect raw material from meat plants in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Full and current UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 Licence;
  • Digital Tachograph;
  • Regular and current experience of driving artic lorries;
  • Excellent communication;
  • Good spoken and written English;
  • Min 1 year experience of driving HGV class 1 lorries;
  • Flexible approach to work;
  • Customer focused attitude;
  • A willingness to learn;
  • Valid CPC card.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Forklift licence - Counterbalance;
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

A normal working week is Monday to Friday, operating on a 4 week rotating shift pattern, overtime hours and occasional weekend work may be required depending on the operational needs of the business. The successful candidate will be expected to accommodate all reasonable requests for overtime work.
