Job Details:
Procurement Specialist
Ref No: WS/PS/02/26
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to ensure cost efficiency, quality standards, and uninterrupted supply operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing procurement of packaging materials and ingredients in line with forecasted demand;
- Monitor high-value and critical materials closely to minimise risk of shortages or excess stock;
- Ensure data accuracy across all systems, including stock levels, forecasts and supplier information;
- Raise purchase orders, track deliveries and manage supplier lead times;
- Assess forecasts in detail to understand true demand requirements;
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align demand planning with production needs.
The Person:
- A minimum of three years experience in procurement, supply planning or demand planning;
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills to include data analysis, formulas, forecasting and reporting;
- Strong communication skills and experience of building and maintaining relationships with suppliers;
- Experience sourcing raw materials, packaging or production supplies.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience of using an ERP system;
- Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related field;
- A working knowledge of packaging materials, industry standards and packaging compliance;
- Ability to work with forecasts and translate data into practical purchasing actions.
